Welcome to LUNA, the parent-teacher engagement app by Treehouse Academy. By accessing or using LUNA, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using LUNA, you agree to abide by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the app.
2. Eligibility
LUNA is intended for use by:
- Parents or Guardians: To communicate with teachers and access student information.
- Teachers and School Staff: To manage parent communication and student-related updates.
- Students (when applicable): With parental consent, for limited educational purposes.
You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use LUNA.
3. User Accounts
a. Account Creation
To use LUNA, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- Parents and Guardians: Provide details related to your relationship with the student.
- Teachers and Staff: Provide professional details for authentication.
b. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or breach of your account.
4. Permitted Uses
You may use LUNA for the following purposes:
- Secure communication between parents, teachers, and school staff.
- Access to student progress, attendance, and announcements.
- Participation in school events and updates.
Any unauthorized use, including but not limited to data scraping, reverse engineering, or interference with the app’s operation, is strictly prohibited.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use LUNA for any unlawful or fraudulent activity.
- Share, upload, or transmit inappropriate, abusive, or harmful content.
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity.
- Attempt to bypass security measures or access unauthorized data.
Treehouse Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
a. Ownership
LUNA, including all content, features, and functionality, is the property of Treehouse Academy and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
b. Limited License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use LUNA solely for personal or professional educational purposes.
c. Restrictions
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on LUNA without prior written consent.
7. Privacy
Our use of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using LUNA, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Third-Party Services
LUNA may integrate with third-party services for functionality or provide links to external resources. Treehouse Academy is not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of third-party platforms. Use these services at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
LUNA is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Treehouse Academy disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:
- The app being error-free or uninterrupted.
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content.
- Compatibility with your devices or operating systems.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Treehouse Academy shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of LUNA.
- Loss of data, unauthorized access, or technical issues beyond our control.
In jurisdictions where liability limitations are restricted, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Treehouse Academy harmless from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from:
- Your misuse of LUNA.
- Violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
- Disputes arising from your content or interactions within the app.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to LUNA for any reason, including violation of these Terms or applicable laws. Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately.
13. Changes to the Terms
Treehouse Academy may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Continued use of LUNA after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of courts located in Malaysia.
